If guests require wedding registration to be made in Thailand, the local registrar will sign the formalities with the bridal couple in the resort following the ceremony, provided that all pre requisite papers have been arranged by the bridal couple in the country of origin.

In order to have the marriage legally registered in Thailand, the couple needs to ensure that the following has been properly taken care of:
Both parties need to provide 'single status statements' issued by their local registry office in their home country, or statement of divorce if that is the case.
Both parties need a statement of marital intend from their local registry office in their home country.
Upon arriving in Thailand everything will be taken care of our Liaison Officer. At least one day prior to the wedding you will meet with the Liaison Officer in the morning at the lobby then proceed to your Embassy in Bangkok in order to complete the necessary paperwork (please note this must be done in person). This will take around half a day. You are then free to go to Koh Samui the same evening or the next day. (Please check Embassy holidays in advance to avoid any problems).
Following the ceremony the local registration officer will issue a Thai Marriage Certificate. It is advisable to check in advance whether this certificate is legally accepted in the home country of the couple.
